Chef Christian Martena was raised in the Puglia region of Italy where he started to discover his passion for cooking at their family restaurant. An aptitute for learning new techniques and preparing innovative food led him to work in some of Europe's most famous kitchens. He moved to Asia and worked at award-wining restaurants and ultra-luxury hotels. This wealth of experience led him to launch his own restaurant in Bangkok alongside his wife Clara, after whom it is named. The restaurant has gained critical acclaim for its modern take on Italian fine dining.

After that, he joins Signature Group in Hat Yai as an Executive Chef.
